PPT not allowed on award tkts?
 
I tried searching for AKL-PPT awards on united.com and on ANA but nothing is available on any date. However, the error messages suggest that the route isn't possible rather than seats are simply sold out. NZ shows prime flight numbers on this route still so what's up?

Searched united.com for Oct. 2013 and found flights Monday and Friday in X (Economy Saver award) so the route is possible for an award. It looks like it's just tough to get unless you book far, far, in advance.

If you book far enough in advance, you can get Y but J is almost impossible unless they have a light load and offer some seats close to departure. But I don't advise booking Tahiti last minute, this expensive but beautiful destination is one most people plan months in advance.
