*G Priority Security Question
 

I'm flying with my grandparents over the Christmas break. We're booked on 2 separate reservations. Could they take advantage of my *G status to get priority security and priority boarding. I would really prefer to make this trip as easy as possible for them.

Priority security is not a *G benefit. If you're travelling on the airline with which you have *G status, you may be entitled to priority security at some airports. Whether or not you could bring someone with you depends on the airline.

Priority boarding shouldn't be an issue, I'm *G and was travelling with my (at the time, not yet *G) mother recently. I just walked up with her, showed our passes together and said we were travelling together - no problems.

As for priority security, I don't know which airline you're flying, but vroom is right that it's not an official *G perk. That said, UA does give priority security to any airline's *G and *S flyers, not just their own, so you may be in luck if you're flying UA. However, occasionally I've experienced the priority line being longer than the normal one..!

Thanks for the info. We are flying UA. I see that AC gets priority security at YYC, do you by chance know if UA premier access gets to use the same line?
