One-way redemption RAR-AKL-PPT on any *A

Planning ahead-we want to do a 3 segment trip BNE-AKL-RAR-AKL-PPT-AKL-BNE in a couple years.

We would probably use SQ miles sourced from the Aussie Amex for an open jaw BNE-AKL-RAR/-PPT-AKL-BNE. Then we need the one way to get from RAR to PPT. We don't need a stopover in AKL on any of the segments, just transit. Has anyone done this before?

Since US doesn't have one way awards, we would probably use SQ or UA but could use TG or NZ if it wasn't too expensive.

You could use LH M&M. They will have one-way awards on NZ from 1st September. IIRC RAR-AKL-PPT is 15,000 one way. Plus a lot of surcharges of course. Or alternatively, just buy a ticket and fly RAR-PPT direct on Air Tahiti.

Oops I had forgotten about this thread with all the dramas on my other ticket. I don't see any way to get LH miles from Australia, none of our credit cards in Australia transfer to them. Amex transfers to SQ which is the best value, also TG and NZ, I can also get UA and US miles from the USA side (credit cards). We are leisure travellers who don't get BIS miles at all.
