Seychelles on *A?

Going on a honeymoon later this year (September/October timeframe, exact dates not yet set) and want to do it on *A. Did some searches but can't find any way for that to happen, is it possible? I would prefer to fly UA (use some GPUs) but obviously that may not be possible.

ET will serve SEZ later this year. I want to say August but I'm not 100% sure. Your routing would have to be something like USA-FRA-ADD-SEZ.

QR (not *A but still a UA partner) flies to SEZ but it looks like those flights won't earn miles on UA under the new rules.

Destinations: From Doha, Qatar, (DOH) to Washington, D.C. (IAD), New York (JFK) and select points in Europe; from Doha to points in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Starting aug 2012, you could do IAD-ADD-SEZ. Return would be SEZ-ADD (fuel stop FCO)-IAD. I have not been able to find award avail for the ADD-SEZ segment on UA/CO, Aeroplan, or ANA site. ANA actually does not provide an option to select SEZ. May not be open or loaded in the systems yet. You should call once the UA/CO conversion issues settle. UA is a mess today. Sitting on a plane right now delayed.

Alternatively you could get UA award to DOH or DXB and then pay to fly to SEZ on Qatar or Emirates. On Qatar you will get UA miles (not status miles though). Good luck. Report back.

Another few options, since you say you want to fly UA as much as possible to use GPUs, is IAD-ACC-ADD-SEZ or IAD-DXB-ADD-SEZ. Might have better availability than trying to fly via Europe.

You can get to MRU (Mauritius) or JNB on South African, then book a r/t to SEZ.

I like this option a lot, going to investigate that. We're looking to spend a little time in Madagascar (TNR?) so we can do JFK-JNB and use JNB as a base for both places (and use SA for JNB-TNR). I dislike ADD (the airport is crummy and the Ethiopian flights I've taken ADD-NBO have been crappy...is their business class any good?) and SAA has been nice so far.

When is ET starting SEZ service? I'm booked on ADD-SEZ-ADD in early May so it must be soon!
