Star Alliance Booking Tool

Just out of curiosity...does Staralliance(dot)com have a multi-city option somewhere on their site? I'm looking to book ORD-SHA-HKG-ORD from 7/24-8/5.

I see their "round the world" fares and started filling out an itinerary, but for some reason, I can't select ORD as my final destination...I think I'm missing something, because the site appears to be pretty robust, but nothing seems to be working. Any pointers on how to use it?

I've looked around the threads a bit and haven't found anyone experiencing the same issues, so hopefully it's a quick fix!

Thank you in advance!

Your itinerary has to contain at least five airports (i.e. three intermediary stops), as well as at least one TPAC and one TATL flight, for you to be able to book a round-the-world trip. You'd have to break the last segment into HKG-LHR-ORD, HKG-FRA-ORD or HKG-IST-ORD, for instance.

Do you actually want a RTW-style fare? If not, you can book through the *A member websites directly.

Thanks for clarifying...what I was trying to do was book that itinerary cheaply...I thought if I could mix and match the best rates from *Alliance members, I might have something...I'm trying to get below the $1400 mark...tis proving difficult :)

You do know that the booking tools on the *A site can only be used for (fixed price) RTW tickets or regional airpasses?
It's not a booking engine for all *A airlines. For "regular" tickets you need to use something else.....

You have probably already tried this, but if not, your best bet is likely to use a site like Kayak.com and select "Star Alliance" (and make sure the multiple-airlines selection is also picked) to get a shot at the cheapest itinerary.
