Lounge Question

Hi All,

Perhaps this has already been discussed elsewhere; if so my apologies.

I just wanted to clarify something. I am flying in AC Executive Class but on a UA-codeshared flight using UA/UA Express metal with a stopover in DEN. Will I have access to the United Club in DEN?

As per *A ( http://www.staralliance.com/en/benef...access-policy/):

"Domestic First Class: Some Star Alliance Member carriers offer lounge access to customers travelling in domestic First Class.

Where Domestic First Class level lounges are offered, customers must present a boarding pass for travel in Domestic First Class on a Star Alliance flight
Customer must be departing from the local airport in Domestic First Class
Customers must be a revenue customer
Customer is entitled to one guest
Domestic Business Class: Some Star Alliance Member carriers offer lounge access to customers travelling in domestic Business Class.

Where Domestic Business Class level lounges are offered, customers must present a boarding pass for travel in Domestic Business Class on a Star Alliance flight
Customer must be departing from the local airport in Domestic Business Class
Customers must be a revenue customer
Customer is not entitled to any guests"

Many thanks for your answers in advance! ^

Probably not but your status and route details will help clarify the situation.

Follow-up

Spoke to UA Customer Support last night and they said I had access to the United Club so I take that to mean I have a 50-50 chance of getting in.

If you share your flight routing and status levels we can probably tell you with some certainty what the policy says you should get.

My routing on the homebound trip is ONT-DEN-YYZ. On AC Executive Class (UA Domestic First) using UA ONT-DEN and UA Express (GoJet) DEN-YYZ.

I know there aren't any lounges in ONT so my only (potential) access would be in DEN.

My understanding is that purposes of *A lounge access, UA will consider your itin (to YYZ) as international, and your domestic F cabin class as business. Thus you should get access to a United Club under the *A international business class lounge access rules and not the domestic rules (UA for the most part denies access for domestic itins unless one is a *G of a foreign airline or a paid club member of UC or allied club). Look at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ss-ticket.html for several concurring opinions and experiences.

Now as to whether you be allowed in is a different question. If I were you, I would post to http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...up-thread.html to see if anyone will guest you in case there are issues.
