Welcome to FT!
As the others have already indicated more information is required for any real answer. Star Alliance upgrades are - in my experience - limited to upgrades from only the very highest Economy fare classes (usually Y and B.. read $$$$$$$$$)..
If you have already booked and your fare class is not an eligible one then you are, sorry to say, SOL.
Another problem may exist because some *A airlines do not participate in the upgrade program anyway...
Over to you for more detail please....

What is your fare code for your ticket with Asiana?
I just checked KVS some days in November and it seems it is hard to find an upgrade for business or first class from LAX to ICN. From ICN to MNL it is much easier
