ANA: partner award search

ANA is not allowing me to access searches for 'partner awards'. Why you might ask?

On the bottom of the page I find this:

The Partner Flight Award search function is not available for passengers who do not have any mileage balance.

It was nice while it lasted.

Ugh. I just noticed that too. It was working fine for me this afternoon, too

How much of a mileage balance would be required, I wonder. If it's only any balance >0, it might be worth it to credit some non-flying partner activity to NH just to get the award tool working.

I've pondered this for the last 10 minutes. The flights I have purchased already don't qualify (cheap TG fares, PG, Nok Air etc).

The one time in the next few weeks I need to purchase a fare TG is 4x the Nok Air cost.

Luckily I did alot of leg work in the last 3 days toward an award now booked. Might be a month or 6 weeks until I'm able to credit anything to ANA.

Ouch, this is not good. So now I'll need to credit the smallest possible amount to ANA. How long will the miles stay in the account before they expire? I will not have any activity on the account.

If I had known this was happening, I would have credited 50 miles for using the ANA Sky Porter service yesterday instead of taking the 160 yen discount.

At least they will be extant for 36 months according to this:

Anybody knows how to get miles into the ANA account? Car rental programs? Hotels? Japanese magazine subscriptions?

Just to answer my own question: Looks like many hotel chains give ANA points.

Likley for most of us the easiest way.

Thanks for the warning as well as the tip - but it will be crushing if this hole gets plugged too!

no doubt it will, but it gives one time to credit some miles to their ANA account

Got Grease Monkey??

Install this little ditty: http://old.wanderingaramean.com/staralink.user.js

Then go here: https://www.ana.co.jp/asw/AMCTopServlet?type=e

Click on the Award Reservation link on the menu there and then look in the top left corner. You should see a link that says "Click for *A Search" that should take you to the *A search form. You might get an error about session expired. If you do just click on the link/button to the home page and go to ANA Mileage Club again and to Award Reservations again. It usually works but occasionally gets that session timeout issue.

Any feedback you have is welcome.
