CO Gold, UA EPlus
 

Some months ago it was announced that CO Gold could get E-Plus seats on the same status as UA Gold.

I have a flight coming up next month on UA. It was booked with Award miles.

Does anyone know if it is eligible for E-Plus "upgrade" and if so, how to arrange it?

Currently UA E+ is not available to CO OP members. Likewise, CO does not offer premium seats to UA MP members. Reciprocal upgrades and seat selections have been announced but without definitive dates and not likely to start before fall 2010.

Currently UA and CO have full reciprocal lounge agreements, allow full RDM/EQM, and have nearly identical award tables. Otherwise, UA and CO treat each other's members no differently than other *A members, respecting *S and *G status.

You can call UA to request E+ seating but will likely be denied. Perhaps UA gate agents may be more generous.

Don't bother calling to ask as you'll be denied (at least for free). That being said, I've had phenomenal luck over the past few months inquiring "if there are any better seats available?" I don't mention E+ directly but wait for them to offer it. I've only been denied once or twice. It isn't an official benefit yet, but being nice and asking at the gate generally works pretty well for me.
