Preffered Seating AC with award ticket and *G

Hi,

does anyone know if *G can reserve preferred seating on Air Canada Y/CL if on an award ticket? It is possible if you are on a latitude fare but the website doesn't state anything about award tickets.

Thanks!

There's no 'preferred seating' on AC. They're just same ordinary seats but just in the front section of the plane.

Generally your status should reflect on your booking and you need to call AC up to make the seat reservation. Sometimes the agents oblige. Sometimes not.

There actually is 'preferred seating' on AC now. They recently introduced a surcharge for bulkhead and exit row seats that have extra legroom.

Yes, AC has preferred seats now. It's a paid $$$ one for non-elite AC member. I paid CAD75 for YYZ-NRT on AC1 for an exit seat 31H.

*G passengers can reserve preferred seats in advance free of charge. Took me one minute on the phone to get it done.

Hi Mariorossi,

Are all *G able to select preferred seats, or just Air Canada *G?

I wasn't able to gain access to preferred seats with THAI *G a couple of weeks ago.

Perhaps I should phone again?
