E+ on united

as a continental plat, am I given seats in the united E+ section?

I don't think you get it automatically. I recently got 'upgraded' as *G as me and my partner were on different reservations, had different seats and they as a nice gesture moved us to the only two seats available next to each other in E+.

I would never pay for E+. It is only just a matter of some inches more legroom, nothing else. If you're tall it could be worth it (I'm short).

Some of the shorter flight can be had for like $10. Worth it. Don't think you'll get it unless *G.

No, UA does not give any *Golds access to E+, other than their own elites.
Others must pay for the privilege.
