Bilbao Spain
I have a friend that lives in Bilbao, but I just got an email recently and it goes along the lines of... I dont know what to show you.. ARGGH!!
Does anyone have any suggestion of what do do and what to see/eat in Bilbao...aside from Guggenheim/Football/Old Town. (i'm catching a game! Yeah! but it is against a small Norwegian team in the Europa Cup..formerly UEFA cup) I think qualifying stages only. But who cares |
Is your friend quite young? If so, ask them to ask their parents.
What you really want your friend to do is root about their connections for an opportunity to visit a Txoko. http://www.sociedadesgastronomicas.c...?s=50&page=41& |

It's kind of like certain clubs in Japan where you need to know someone to get into. ;) Or like Dead Poet Society.. I'll ask but I doubt she'll have the connections to a txoko. Thanks 4 bringing this very interesting cultural gastronomical phenomenon up though.. |
Great city

IIRC, the restaurant in the Guggenheim is very good.
You might consider going to San Sebastian for the day; a beach right there in town, GREAT food, and a pretty old town. |
