What to do in central Spain this weekend
I'll arrive in Madrid tomorrow (Friday) evening to celebrate my friend's graduation as a commercial pilot. I will fly out again on Monday morning, but haven't yet decided from where.
I've been to Madrid many times before and I'm not really sure what to do during the day. We're not really interested in art or museums or football and I've been to the parks numerous times.
We're in our mid/late twenties and just looking for some party and maybe some nice nature or other stuff to see/to during the day.
Any idea where to go for the weekend? We could go on day trips (Toledo?) or even drive somewhere else entirely (2-4 hours driving would be ok, even Valencia would be fine). I don't have to fly out of Madrid.
We just don't want to fly anywhere else because he has a lot of baggage as his time in Spain is coming to an end. Throwing it all into a rental car is fine, but I think flying to France (for example) would be too much hassle.
Any suggestions? Anything exciting going on this weekend? Is there something like an event calendar for the whole country?
Thanks in advance!

You could easily do a day trip to Toledo - 30 minutes by train. Beautiful views of the city from the other side of the Tajo River, history, art, the Cathedral, mazapán desserts. Valencia is about 1 hour, 40 minutes by train. Segovia with its Roman aqueduct is also a short train ride.

Wow, I didn’t realize Valencia is so close by train. But now we’ve already booked a hotel in Madrid for the whole weekend, so I guess Toledo and Segovia it is! Thank you!
