Lagos, Portugal Hotel Won't Answer

Lagos, Portugal Hotel Won't Answer

Was in process of completing a non-refundable hotel reservation in Lagos, Portugal. Entered my credit card info, and then computer screen disappeared. Do not know if the registration was completed. Sent 2 e-mails to hotel. No answer. Don't know if I should call. I don't speak Portuguese. Charge so far has not appeared on my account. Afraid of being charged twice if I do another reservation.

There is a decent chance that someone at the property speaks English. Call. Start by saying, "I only speak English, please help me".

If that does not work, find some common language (spanish, french, italian) or find a friend, relative colleague who does and call.

I would expect a hotel in Lagos to have someone (if not most people) who speaks English.

They answered their phone

Called the Laos, Portugal hotel. Luckily an English speaking rep answered. No record of vanishing reservation. Thanks to one and all who replied.
