Airport security strike in Portugal, June 24-25, 2017

I just received a notice from AmEx PTS that a strike has been announced for this weekend by airport security workers in Portugal.

Does anyone know anything about this?

--Will incoming flights be delayed?

--Will there be delays for immigration and customs for arriving passengers (nonschengen)?

--Will there be delays in getting checked bags?

--Are additional strikes likely this summer? If so, are they likely to be held on weekends?

There have been a few of these this year and people have barely noticed. Usually when the union announces a strike a subset of workers will participate. Also a court will probably set a required minimum level of service.

If outbound TP flights are delayed due to many people stuck in security queues, flights later in the day may also be delayed.

The delays will not be bigger than normal. The border police and the customs authority is not on strike, only some of the security staff which are a private company.

No.

None have been announced.

Overall, I'd prepare for longer wait times at security checkpoints due to fewer available staff and nothing else.
