Yes and yes - for a small airport.

The Calpe Lounge:
- selection of soft and alcoholic drinks, plus tea/coffee
- crisps/nuts and biscuits
- private section of the balcony with great view of rock and airport.
- no need to leave until you actually see people boarding.
- very limtied power sockets (ironic given the public ones outside the lounge)
- small news paper and magazine choice.
- apparent limited food selection.

Tip:
- sandwiches are available upon reaquest. (subject to demand, shhh...)

In a nutshell:
- if you have pepople to chat to, food and snacks supply for free.
- great views if weather is good.
- not bad for size of airport.

Open to PP users too.

I don't want to over egg it, but yes there is a lounge, its functional.

(I've certainly been in more basic ones: http://www.ukpoints.com/2014/10/31/n...ca-montenegro/)

Sadly reduced aircraft turn around times mean you now need to wait at the airport. Historically in GIB you could wait until it landed before bothering!

Great day at Gib....although....

Day did not start well, sent to wrong gate at LHR,boarding badly handled at LHR,then flight to be diverted to Malaga because of bad weather, then we sat on the plane for over an hour whilst some passengers luggage was removed,we then missed our slot!!!But,the captain made up time, the weather cleared at Gib,so we were good to land(the radar had packed up at Gib airport)as he could land VMC.
Nice and hot, enjoyed the landing, and take off, attach a couple of pics....
Nice enjoyable flight home,BA did very well to rescue what could have beena bad day,so well done to them.Crew home were fantastic,as was the afternoon tea.(See pic) I did not use the Calpe lounge, was too nice a day to sit inside,so had a pint on the terrace!!!

The lounge has its own private balcony overlooking the Rock and the sunshine, combined with adequate supplies of fresh beer comfortably places it in my top 10 lounges worldwide.
