Let me tell you having to board after families on a flight to MCO is not much fun.

Any advice on flying back to the mainland from OGG? No poachers from prior connecting flights I assume, but probably more families than a normal flight choosing EBCI to try to sit together. Any chance a 1-15 upgrade paid for by my SW Priority card would be available at the gate?

Benevolently, if there are too many through pax, WN won't sell BS fares.

WN 2388 - MDW-MHT 737-700
T-24
2 pax, got B47 and B48, and thankfully we were still able to get two seats together again, flight was full.
Side note: Anecdotally, a lot of bags at the baggage claim at MHT had pink "connection" tags on them, so this would appear to be the reason why our boarding numbers were so poor (since they would have been able to check in for all connected flights when they checked in for the first one). When I first checked in on the app, it was on a bit of a sketchy cell signal (I was on the red line subway in Chicago) so I thought this was why I ended up with such poor boarding numbers, but then when I saw the baggage tags, it made much more sense.

WN 967 - DCA-BNA 737-700
T-24
B23 (There was a check-in offer to upgrade to first boarding group for $149 - no thanks)
Sunday August 11, 2019
WN 5231 – BNA-DCA 737-700
T-24
A52
DCA-BNA flight was fun, captain promised it would be bumpy and it was - we flew relatively low for about the first half-hour, which was noticeable to me, then went up just a bit to 26,000 feet (per FlightAware). FAs managed to get drink service in late in the game.

Note: That check-in offer was to upgrade to Business Select, which includes all the BS perks and is based on dollar difference from fare paid. Upgraded Boarding (position no worse than A-15) may be available at the gate for $30-$50.

Ah, interesting, thanks - I saw the upgrade-at-the-gate signs but I assumed it would still be $150... it had been a while since I flew WN so I had forgotten their various levels
