T-24, DTW-LAS Oct 7, B9 for me and B19 for companion. I checked in on my phone and used the computer for the companion. Differences of maybe 60-90 seconds.

LAS-DTW, Oct 12, T-24, B-34 and B-50. Another 60-90 second gap between check ins. Ended up in row 13 in front of the exit row with empty middle, so the result was pretty good. I normally buy EBCI, especially on a return from LAS, but we weren't sure if we were coming back on Wed or Thu, so I couldn't. Fortunately, about 25 empty seats on this flight.

11/09 departing 2:50 MDW-LAS

Checked in at T-23 and 58 minutes.

C-17. Get to gate and ask for $40 upgrade. Gate agent said all BS slots sold out but checks and an A-9 was available. I also asked how many were on the flight but all I got was 'flight full'

Edited to add:
No through passengers as the plane arrived from LAS.

If someone cares to put a dunce hat on me they are so rightly so in doing it as I did not realize I was on an 800 series and after seeing the infinite leg room seat occupied I never bothered to look across the cabin for the other one. Some guy that boards two behind me got it D'OH. Got an aisle exit row at least. Still, a wasted $40 gate upgrade.

T-24 SEA-LAS Nov 12
No Status, No EBC, Plane 100% full
A55

Return:

T24 LAS-SEA Nov 15 Plane about 75% full
A55

What are the chances of that....

LAS-MDW leaving 1:45 PST.

Checked in about T-23 and got a B-58. Having have gotten high Bs before I figured I would score an aisle seat. Plane ended up being a next generation 737-800. Plenty of aisle seats left but I nabbed an exit row middle instead.

According to the gate agent there should be 2 empty seats on the flight.

SLC-LAX at 12:30pm - Checked him in at T-16 or so (oops!) but was still assigned A-55.

Very light flight (obviously) and the only hassle was one late boarding couple where the woman seemed intent on sitting three wide somewhere. The gentleman kept trying to explain to her that they just needed to keep walking a few rows farther to one of the empty rows, but she kept sitting in the middle next to a window passenger, and scowling at her husband when he implored her to get back up and keep walking. An FA took pity on him and all but commanded the woman come sit in the empty row 10.

11/13, MCO (1:25pm)-MDW-FNT, T-24, A56 and B12. Didn't use the B12 as we boarded at family boarding with the 2 toddlers. MCO-MDW was completely full so had to struggle a little bit with the lap child. Last flight for free for her as she turns 2 in 2 days. But it's much more convenient for them all to have a seat.

11/21, MCO to BDL leaving at 9:35 PM. T-24 on the app and got B12. Oddly enough coming from MCO not a lot of families (probably due to the time) but A LOT of pre-boarders. Manged to get an exit row aisle as the FA was standing there and most were walking by. Full flight.

11/25 BDL to MCO leaving at 9:40 PM. T-24 on the app and got A44. Got the infinite legroom exit-row seat. Full flight.

PHX-LAX-SMF direct. Both legs 100% full
Depart PHX 6:50pm 12/24

Check in @ T24 exactly
Boarding position: B20
Seat: Exit row window, right side of aircraft

When I boarded the FA was in her normal spot in the exit row aisle just making sure everyone in the exit row was eligible to sit there. Apparently all the passengers in front of me assumed she was intentionally blocking/reserving the row and just kept walking by. Merry Christmas to me

Edit: and at both LAX and SMF when we were taxiing in the FAs played Jingle Bells over the PA. Closest I've ever come to actually using the emergency exit
