NON A List, NON Early Boarding.

IND-MCO Thur 10/1 Did close to T-24, about 5 sec. apart for each.

Got A 28, A 35, and A 41. SO value of EB would not have been worth the extra cost as these boarding numbers will allow a large selection of seats.

at T = 24:00:00 pulled my wife's and then my BP (seperated PNRs) for Oct 2 WN 856 OKC-DEN/ WN 3961 DEN-LAS, ended up with A-22/A-40 and A-26/A42 respectively. I am not fond of the new changes to the website that will not show "retrieve boarding pass" under itineraries until T + 24:00:00, which means more refreshing of that page without receiving a southwest.com timestamp on the error message. Also, the on-line check-in function on the southwest.com homepage has been changed as well to no longer yield an error message with a timestamp. Makes it hard to calibrate my watch with the southwest.com clock to optimize T = 24:00:00 check-in. Maybe it is all a ploy to push people toward EBCI.

MCO->BDL 10/4 5:15pm, T-23:55 for my parents: B3 & B4

MCO->ALB 10/4 6:15pm, T-23:59 for me: A33.

Got exit row window. Very happy.

Small weirdness when checking in though. About 2 minutes early, instead of "cannot check in yet" it gave me the screen to "checkin all passengers". When selected, it then told me "you are not checked in. Proceed to gate agent to obtain boarding pass". Once my time did arrive, everything worked just fine.

EDIT to add that not only did I get my Exit Row Window Seat, I also had an empty middle. That, my friends, is the life. (I believe the Gate Agent's screen read 102 or 112 passengers)

Checked a neighbor in around T-23:50 (I synced my watch with an atomic clock beforehand).

MDW->LAS, leaving at 07:00
A23

I'll try to check her in on the flight back which leaves at 10:15 PST, but since on a Wednesday I'm still sure she'll get a decent boarding pass.

Good luck on the way back. Pre EBCI, we used to get A40-B10's on the flight out of LAS due to all the West Coast connections checking in before us.

T-23:45

ABQ-TPA, flight 747, ABQ-TPA

A51/52 for me and the wife.

And on the return, 7/11/09, at t-23:45 again...
Exactly the same seat assignments!
Good enough for an exit row

MCI-FLL 7.35 a.m. (originators only)
Within the first minute, A-43

I had the screen with Status: Security Document Available, kept refreshing it and it said the same (and one try to accept that just gave me a security document); 30 seconds in I went Back and called up check-in again, and got status Boarding Pass Available.

Exactly the same thing happened to me today, refreshing at T-24:00:00 to no avail. Then resorted to going back to the main Check-in menu to try to get through and was finally able to view and choose the Boarding Pass Available option at T-23:58:06

#654 Depart MDW 9:25 AM (B20)
Arrive SLC 11:50 AM
Change plane
#872 SLC Depart 12:15 PM (A22)

As I posted on another thread, you have encountered an unfortunate side effect of the website upgrade: our customized OLCI URLs don't work the same and are no longer useful.

The new website changes the customized URL the first time you use it, so that subsequent refreshes will not get you the BP option. Our resident web wizard ftnoob has been looking into this for a day or two.

You could use the customized URL by repeatedly pasting it into the URL line of your browser, but it's probably faster to use the standard back button method on the regular OLCI page. Another FT hack bites the dust.
