I thought that URL trick didn't work any longer, as far as being able to reload it if you got a "too early" message.
MHT-MDW-MCI at 1 p.m., I fumbled on my netbook and checked in a couple of minutes late: A-36 and A-33. I was in New England for memorials for my brother who died in Haiti, and there was some uplift in seeing the Air Force One 747 land at MHT as my flight was getting ready to board. The baggage handlers with full trucks paused to watch; there was also a delay since the fuel truck couldn't circulate while the president was around, but the flight made it up. There were 54 and 80 pax on the respective flights, and I had a row to myself on each.

The custom URL does not work. However you can reload (F5) the URL that your MySouthwest page gives you. This capability expires after 15 minutes or so, but that's enough for T-24 check-in.

Anyway, the few times I used it the URL trick + F5(refresh) has worked.
