Diners 24,000 points = 1 reward ticket

just got a Diner's Club card's flyer today:

Fly Southwest at a 25% point savings. redeem 24,000 club rewards points (normally 32,000 points) between 10/01 - 11/30, you will receive a Southwest Airline rapid reqards ticket. ask for club rewards item 2400.

lucky I got the flyer today, I almost converted all my points to NWA miles.

Do you get the credits, or just the RR ticket? The last time I transferred over a pile of points for this promotion I was already over the Companion Pass hurdle so it didn't matter. This year I need the credits.

Redeem 24,000 miles and you will get 16 credits in your account. WN will then send you a RR ticket.

Excellent - I also have a friend who is moving to a Southwest city (from a nasty hub town) and buying his way to Companion Pass level immediately - 152,000 Diners Club points gets him the white card and 6 free tickets!

Hi everyone, I don't think you get the credits-- last year, i cashed out 48,000 diners points for 2 southwest tickets and didn't get the credits.. on southwest.com, it only said:

10/02/01 Diners Club 12 credits = Award Issued
10/02/01 Diners Club 12 credits = Award Issued

I know it says "12 credits", but... for credits year to date, the following appeared:

Credits earned 09/12/2001 - 09/12/2002: 0
Credits needed to earn your next award: 16

Just be a little careful if you're counting on getting the credits for the CP. I didn't.

I have transferred DC points to RR several times. The credits have always counted toward the CP. If they post but aren't included in your annual count, I would call CS. All credits should count toward the CP, no matter where they come from.
