Unlimited Rapid Reward Seats

Some good news. I had been concerned regarding language on the back of Rapid Rewards certificates indicating that seats may be limited. I believe the original date of limitation was projected to be in 2002 or early 2003.

I just received a new Rapid Rewards certificate that indicates that Rapid Reward certificate seats may be limited starting January 1, 2004. It looks like unlimited reward seats will still be available at least until then.

Excellent catch. Southwest's web site still says that seats may be limited starting January 1, 2003. So it looks like this has been extended another year.

This rolling date has been going on for years. It think it's just Soutwest's version of the language in other programs that states "XYZ airline reserves the right to terminate the program with 6 months' notice to members." It's nothing to worry about until a change is actually announced.
