Figured I'd bump this thread now that we're in the Uber era. Anecdotal evidence here and elsewhere says that Super Shuttle sucks (I've had terrible experience with them in the NYC area with airport transfers, too). Thus, I guess I'm looking at either public transit or a taxi/Uber.
Looking to transfer from DAL to DFW to catch an evening transatlantic flight. Checked the Uber app and was quoted $24-$30 to get between the two airports. Is this accurate according to anyone else's experience? My transfer will be in the middle of the day, and time is not a factor.
Also willing to consider public transit, especially since I have time. Is DART on the reliable side? Will luggage (one suitcase) be a problem? $2.50 sounds unbeatable.

Google estimates about 70 minutes from the time you board the 524 until you arrive at the DFW station.
Uber in the Dallas area now gives you an exact fare quote before you request the car, so you can see the price and decide whether the DART savings are worth it. If you do Uber, the DAL pickup area is on the lowest level, outside baggage claim and to the right.

DART means the 524 connector bus from DAL to the Love Field station, then the Orange line to DFW. I've not done the bus, but the trains are pretty reliable, and should be pretty empty. Once you get to DFW, the train drops you near terminal A. If you're on AA, you can check in there, clear security, and ride the airside Skylink train to international terminal D. If you're flying someone else and need to visit the ticket counter, you'll instead need to ride the landside Terminal Link shuttle bus to D.

I've taken the DART train and can vouch for its cleanliness and reliability ^
In fact one time I was bored on the weekend and took the train to DFW and went right back, essentially an east side DFW airport tour

The only problem with DART train to DFW is that if you have luggage to check and are not flying AA, taking the land-side shuttle can cost you 30-minutes or more. I just did this not too long ago. The train was easy, but the shuttle bus ate too much into the pre-departure buffer time.

All right, who wants to create a thread Wiki to provide the current information and rescue this thread from the outdated info in the first 2/3 of the posts?

Darn:
You may start or edit a Wikipost once you have been on FT for 90 days and have made 90 posts.
Please don't make a flurry of pointless posts to reach 90. That sort of noise generation is frowned on or worse. But when you reach 90 in the normal course of posting, please come back here and add a Wiki. Thanks for volunteering!
