Talking Is it time for WN to stop free drink coupons?

I find myself giving them away because I travel in the a.m. 95% of the time.
Don't really need a beer or booze then.

Penny saved is penny earned!

Would you really squawk if you didn't get drink coupons? ^

I rarely use their restrooms so I vote they get rid of the toilet tissue, money to be saved there as well

Don't take away the one perk for the freq. flyer!

Actually I have more than I will use over the next 2 years, but good to treat a seatmate or offer a serviceman on the plane.

How about the doughnuts and coffee at the gates in DAL. I am sure those based in the big D would complain -- but why do they get them and no where else.

And you thought Southwest treated everyone equally?? Those in DAL are the elitists! (Although I enjoyed my free coffees and doughnuts in DAL when making my mileage runs.)

Talking Why would anyone want it to stop?

Drink coupons - why would anyone want it to stop?

They are a perk whether it be for the person who earned them or a family - friends.

I am sure someone can use them....

This has got to be the dumbest idea of the week.

If you don't want the coupons, simply check the box on your profile, and you won't receive them anymore. But stay the hell away from mine.

Talking Totally agree!

I totally agree with the dumb idea - about getting rid of the drink tickets and the toliet paper.

Heck keep them both.. there both perks. The drinks tickets I surely will use for a glass a wine especially if I am traveling by myself for business and the flight is rough - I hate them times need something to calm my nerves - hate flying by myself!

They have cut back on them

You used to get six cocktails after flying 4 round trips ^
Now you get three cocktails after flying 8 round trips
Prior to 1985 they were free!!!
I dont know about you but I use them more than I can earn them now.

Except during 3x periods, like the DAL promos that ended 31 May. Then I got 4 beers for (almost) every 5 flights (2.5 RTs). Yeah, that's over.... but my MR will restock my drink coupons!

I agree with the others...free is good, and if you don't want to use them, commit a random act of kindness. Mr. 757-300 is always more than willing to use all our free drink coupons, but when we used to fly ATA and get coupons for free headphones, I would always just tell the flight attendant to give the freebie to the next person who was going to buy some. Same way in restaurants...if I have multiple coupons, I will often give one to a fellow diner (usually some family with multiple kids who look like they could use some savings!). I've had the favor returned, too....other diners have given me coupons at restaurants as well. It's just a nice way to spread around a little good cheer.
