Name Correct, Title Wrong

Greetings,

I my effort to purchase 5 tickets for the most recent schedule extension, there is a slight error regarding one of the passengers I purchased tickets for.

I spelled his name correctly but somehow he now has a suffix of "DO" after his name. I called SWA and they said this would not be a problem at checkin or security. Should I be concerned on his behalf because of this error? I really do not know what happened to create this error. But just prior to this I had to delete the "CEO" suffix from his name also.

Thanks

Welcome to FT!

If WN CS said it shouldn't cause problems, I would believe them. However, if you're still unsure you should just cancel and rebook the ticket. If you booked in the schedule that just opened up, the same fare should still be available.

Greetings,

I just called customer relations and they took care of it. They did not charge me extra. If I had gone in to rebook the fare I got was gone ten minutes after I purchased it anyhow.

Thanks for the advice anyhow.

Just curious, but why would you add "CEO" to someone's name?

Greetings,

Why would "I" add "CEO" to someones name? I wouldn't. I apparently hit the "suffix" thing at some point during my reservation request. I was just happy t hat the schedule had opened up I was rushing it trying to securea good fare. (I could have done better if I had been 15 minutes quicker) I noticed that mistake and cleared it but somehow "DO" showed up.

Other than your standard titles, I would not use one. I think one looks for trouble by using such titles.

I had this happen to me once before... I use the tab and scoll wheel a lot and must have somehow tabbed into that block and scrolled it down to one of the obscure "titles", I think it was CLU. I didn't notice until I got the confirmation e-mail.

I had to call later to add my RR # to the reservation and had forgotten about the "title". The customer service rep asked me about my "title". BUSTED! I told him I had mistakenly put it on my name when I made the reservation and asked if I was in trouble for having it on my reservation. He said no, but the CSRs recently had a discussion about what the title meant and he was trying to figure it out. Anyway, he said it was no big deal. I found it amusing that they didn't know what their codes meant...
