A computer in the o/h bin

will a full size computer fit in the overhead bin? My company is giving away some surplus...wondering if I can carry on....

If it's a typical "low and wide" PC box or a mini/midi tower it shouldn't be a problem, I would have thought. If it looks too big, you could always strip out the motherboard and associated goodies, and buy a cheap case at the other end.

I took a mid-tower on board once. That was back when the biggest problem was the sizing template at the Xray machine. I didn't have room for a packing box, so I tied a rope around the PC case.

Should Fit

I just looked at my computer (pretty old) and it sure looks like it would fit. I would suggest taking the cabinet screws off before leaving home. I'd bet that TSA would want to look at the "inerds". :)

Well done! Way to keep things in perspective.
