segment flights

is there an easy way to look up cheap segment flights forma given airport. my home airport is RNO but im in PIT a lot. may need to book a RT to knowck out alist preferred, like RNO-LAS for $29 each way

how to find others?

Just look at some of the places closeby with WN non-stops, but you are lucky with your $29 fares... $49 or $59 minimum is the norm out of PHX. RNO-LAS might be a winner here.

Check out the list of sale fares in the weekly sale emails. You can select a departure city and see the prices for other cities on a single page. Nearby cities with nonstop flights are usually the least expensive.

Google Flights in Explorer mode. You need to start with a specific destination in order to select Southwest as carrier. But then you can change it to "anywhere" and it will bring up a map with destinations and prices. Tue/Wed/Sat flights are generally cheapest and cheapest fares generally have a 21 day advance purchase requirement. You can also use "Flexible Dates" search in Google Flights instead of a specific date. As mentioned above, timing it with sales (like the current one) can help. RNO-LAS $29 fares indeed look to be cheapest WN fares out of RNO. PIT-MDW $46 fares look to be cheapest out of PIT.

One you have selected a destination, you can click on date field to bring up a calendar with dates and prices (PIT-MDW fares are shown below).

You won't do better than that $29 RNO-LAS. The catch is it seems to be the departing flights before 8 AM out of RNO, and the returning flights after 8 PM out of LAS.

Or book a higher fare bracket for one of the legs then do a same day standby.
