Many lucrative promos I get blanked on, and Southwest matches me for this one?! I don't live in Hawaii and I've only ever flown one one-way interisland trip.

My other half and I had that discussion this morning - I'm a promo chaser, sure, but do they really think I'm going to fly to Hawaii for six segments just for some points?

Actually... Are they CPQP or TQP? Maybe I could tie it into the Australia trip somehow... =P

I don't have a single one except the usual rental car come-ons. I guess they have given up on me. But something this niche you would expect them to cast a large net.

CPQP?

Are they CPQP? I cannot find any details. I happen to be going to HNL next month. I can knock out 6 one ways between HNL and OGG in one day for $274 which will give me the 35K points.

If I fly LIH-HNL-OGG, do I get credit for 2 one-ways or just 1 one-way?

Generally 1 one way credit per PNR.

And be careful mixing one ways with round trip for the promotion. They seems to have taken the OR very literally in rule #1 per another thread.

Yes, to be safe and furthermore there is rarely any cost or other benefit to booking RT's in the first place, just less record-keeping.

And price out your LIH-HNL-OGG separately as LIH-HNL and HNL-OGG, it might be the same $ or close getting you 2 OW credits instead of 1

In this case, it will likely cost somewhat more unless you want a stopover at HNL (layover greater than 6 hours). With one-way LIH-OGG search, LIH-HNL-OGG routing will price on a single fare component as a LIH-OGG fare. WGA fares on LIH-OGG start at $59 total with the connection in HNL. It's the same fares that are used for LIH-OGG non-stop flights, but costs slightly more with the HNL connection due to additional $4.80 US segment tax added to total price.

Purchasing on separate tickets with separate fares for each segment, the best you will do with WGA fares on LIH-HNL and HNL-OGG are $44 for each for a total of $88. But the additional $29 is the price you have to pay if you want it to count for 2 one-way's instead of just 1.

Has anyone actually completed this promo and gotten the bonus points?

ETA: Looks like the promotional period has changed. It now runs until 9/15/23.

The bonus points are not tier or companion qualifying points.
