2023 Anniversary Sale! 40% off base fare 8/15-12/14 except 9/4 and 11/16-28

The anniversary sale is active now. The 40% discount is on the pretax fare, and those base fares are somewhat higher than normal. Still, the net price is the lowest I've seen in several months for my regular trips.

If you see a fare you like but it's at a bad time of time, consider buying a WGA Plus fare and hoping for a same-day change to get a better flight time. As long as you are willing to take the time of day that you bought if the other flights are full, and as long as you don't mind a middle seat due to a high boarding number.

This one is the best! Just re-fared a couple of rez, including ones that technically preceded the sale dates.

Don't bother with the 40OFF code. It is unnecessary. The discounted fares are displayed without this extra step.

Same here.

Did notice that BizSelect fares are not discounted.

It is noted in small print:
40 percent promotion code savings valid for one-way or round trip Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus fares

Not needing to enter the code and no discount on Anytime & BS fares were both true during the DEN / COS sale as well.

What's the logic behind which fares are discounted? I noticed that the more expensive WGA and WGA+ fares are not valid with the 40OFF discount.

Not able to logon to my account now. Site down?

This is now posted: "
We’re making a few updates to the Rapid Rewards experience. As a result, Customers will be temporarily unable to access My Account or book or manage redemption travel online or on mobile platforms. We’ll be back up and running soon."

Updates during a fare sale?
I smell a rat.

I got the same as well.

So much for them upgrading their IT infrastructure.

I also got the same message just now. When I was booking some fares earlier today, I noticed that the website was very slow in responding. Not sure if all this is related.

It's an issue with Amazon Web Services, which WN uses. AWS is down so some features that rely on it are down for WN.

Still not working but supposedly AWS is starting to catch up to the back log. https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status

Of course bad timing for those of us who NEED to login to use points for the deal. But at least the deal is still good for a couple more days.

That's two promos in a row not yielding a discount for any FLL-DEN flights on 25 Sep - I sure miss it being quick and inexpensive to get out to Denver for a concert! At least they're flying a nonstop again, which I'm grateful for.

Looks like it's the Broncos game at Miami Dolphins that weekend, with FLL being the closest airport

Blows my mind that revenue management takes into account these types of things. Is the entire NFL / college football scheduled loaded this way too? For the handful of affluent fans able to attend, the general public has to "suffer" for 8 days? Sum ting wong...

Also the F1 race in Vegas in November, coming from anywhere! Unlike a sporting event where just 2 cities impacted.
