I have a question about this and I may be over complicating it. So as I understand this the 2 points will be for CPQ only. The part I’m not certain, are these 2 points in addition to to our regular spend so we’re actually getting 3 points per $1 spent to our RR account but the 2 points are not spendable. Example: if I spend in the three months $1000 I’m getting the usual 1000 points to my RR account and toward CP AND an additional 2 points only for CP, so at the end of the promo I will have 3000 more points towards my companion pass.

The extra points awarded are applied strictly to your CP totals, not otherwise. I can never really figure out SWA math (Herb math??) on these promotions - the process is far from transparent. However, I got about 10,000 points out of the promotion, good only towards next year's CP, and so was happy. I should have next year's CP in the bag within a few weeks, now just have to find the time to take advantage with a few more trips.

can i get some clarity on the new promo that started today. says 2X CP qualifying points on all flights. does that mean if you buy the upper class flights with the 8X/10X/12X points that they get doubled? or is it a straight double of the $1 per point
i usually book wanna get away but if there's justification to buy the higher levels, and double them, it would help me reach my level if the math works out
from their FAQ

8. How are double CPQPs calculated?
Double Companion Pass qualifying points will be calculated at 100 percent of the Companion Pass qualifying points earned for each applicable flight.

Side note: For me, the points promos are transparent. I know down to the last point how many I should be receiving by the end of each promo. Tho I do keep a small spreadsheet for each months spending.

The T&Cs say "Please allow up to 8 weeks after the end of the promotional period for bonus CPQ points to post to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account.". I'm expecting it's too early, but if anyone has received the points, please post here :-)

I was reading the post as "I know my spending and estimate that I will be getting about 10,000 points at some point", but I could be wrong.

It's been four weeks now...I (mostly) don't mind waiting, but want to make sure that others haven't received the bonus and I somehow missed out. Anybody got them yet?

Same here. Been checking everyday. Thinking it will be end of October. Need to add my wife to a Christmas Day/New Year's Day round trip flight so was hoping to know if the bonus points will put me over for '24.

Not yet. 10/26 will be 8 weeks and it seems these bonus points have been taking the full 8 weeks to hit our account. Because October 26 is a Thursday I’m thinking we might not even see them until Monday, October 30 because the last few promotions they went two days past their 8 week mark.
