Southwest hotel boost option not working

When you book via southwesthotels.com, the properties that offer 1000+ 'extra' points also allow you to choose a more expensive rate to get an extra 2000 points per night. Then, after you've selected your room, when it's time to pay, the site sometimes offers to sell you an additional "boost" of 2000 points per night. As of today, the boost appears to be broken - none of the hotels are offering to let me boost my points. I have SEVERAL work trips planned and need to book my hotel but havent been able to because I havent found one hotel with the extra boost option. I think this is just an error, not a change, but I can't really be sure. When I called, I was given a corporate answer when I can tell that just didnt know what was going on. VERY FRUSTRATING as I have been a VERY loyal Southwest customer.

I know this is run through a third party, but I can't figure out who to contact to see what's up. I have some travel I need to book ASAP

Heh, that's a little creepy. For a minute there, I was pretty confused because some of that didn't sound at all like something I'd write. I guess they just liked the way I described the boost program?

Someone else actually posted about this last month, Southwest Hotels: The "Boost" Button Appears to be broken , and it appears it still hasn't been fixed. I wasn't too nervous then because I won't need it until closer to the end of the year.

Hopefully some WN insiders will eventually return to help us with things like this and new interpretations of old terms.

I'd have called it "Spooky Synergy", but maybe that's just me.

From some other forums, I'm seeing bots coming in with "First Name Last Initial" screen names. And they sometimes repost old stuff or reply to posts with a "I can help you with that" kind of response, with vague information easily culled from popular websites. That's my guess here

Mods can see IP addresses. Not yet the apocalypse.

If someone ghosts a 2-year-old post under an alias, it's fixable.
