Combine Flight Credits?
It's generous that Southwest doesn't have expiring flight credits anymore but they have a limitation of 2 credits per reservation. I have several credits in the tens of dollars which doesn't even cover one flight. Is there a way to combine the credits into one amount to get around this limitation? Can I buy a new reservation and cancel to combine it? Thanks for any tips.

Yes, purchasing new fares and then cancelling them will achieve your goal.
However, be careful to note which of your credits will expire and which will not. If past precedent applies, you could wind up turning non-expiring credits into expiring one. They did away with credits expiring but only for flights purchased after July 28, 2022.

I have several really small credits, where even three of them wouldn't be enough to purchase even the cheapest flight. If the only way to merge them is via a $29-or-39 temporary-reservation, I'll probably have to top it off with credit card funding. Would it be better to cancel within 24 hours, or after 24 hours? It would be preferable to get that temporary credit card funding back, but if it must be turned into a voucher, that's ok.
In other words, the goal is to merge five credits under $10, all with no expiration date, some transferrable and some not (but I don't mind if they become non-transferrable).

Buy any cheap ticket with 2 credits and a credit card. Cancel immediately and refund to credit card. Use your canceled funds plus another credit and credit card to buy another cheap ticket. Cancel and refund to credit card. After the 4th cycle you will have combined the 5 credits. Phew.
