Anytime Fare - Automatic EBCI failed?
 

I don't fly WN that often so I'm not sure how this usually works. I purchased an Anytime fare for a flight tomorrow (Sunday) evening. WN says Anytime fares now get automatic EBCI at T-36 (approx T-32 as I type this) however my app just says "check in begins 24 hours before departure" an it won't let me even manually check in. In the past, when I've purchased EBCI, I know I've received by boarding pass at T-36, so this seems weird that I can't get my BP. Am I actually checked-in and I just can't retrieve my BP until T-24, or did the automatic EBCI screw-up?

Interesting. It's been 2+ years since I've flown WN, but I could have sworn I always got my BP as soon as I checked in. I always use EBCI because I absolutely detest the WN boarding system. Still, seeing as that I am automatically checked in, the app should say that.

I think, but I am not certain, that T-24 and not before to get a boarding pass is a federal rule.

anytime gives you automatic check in at T24 so you don’t have to manually do it but the order is set at T36 so if you buy after then you lose your space of sorting to the end of the pre approved line before T24 check in starts.

There are some caveats here. You could be looking to do says SAN-SJC flight but you might have a bWI-SAN with a 4 hr layover as part of the schedule so their T24 kicks in around your T36 so this could affect boarding order.
