A-Listers, what's the worst boarding position you've received?

Just pulled A-33 on an -800. Highest I've ever received. Is A-33 an outlier? Just curious.

Edit: Yes, assuming T-36 booking

With booking prior to T-36? A-22 (AL+)

smmrfld May 25, 2022 7:56 pm

A-21, and only once.

A44 but it was around New Years in or out of Cancun, can’t remember which way.

ORDtoMEM May 25, 2022 10:33 pm

A49 in 2 years as an A-list, A27 in 3 years as A-list Preferred

A45 or something (on an -800 LAS-PHX). I believe that fare class or fare paid has something to do with the position. This was on a V fare.

I got A 31 Tuesday evening. That's about as high I as I get.

A45 as A-list on flights to Hawaii.

It seems there were feeder flights so whoever is on the feeder flight would be in front.

Troopers May 26, 2022 5:52 pm

A-35 out of LAS.

Oh wow some of you get low numbers consistently! Flying out of OAK it's not uncommon for me to get something in the A30-45 range! Sometimes even higher than that too.

Almost all my trips originate in OAK, usually A-16 if not flying BS, occasionally A-17 and rarely higher.

I wonder if me being A list, not A+ is part of it. Or if I’m a “lower value” A list member - I usually qualify on flights rather than points, and it takes me almost the whole 12 months to get to the flight threshold. So if the boarding order (which as far as I know is still secret and we’ve never figured it out!) takes spend or flight activity into account I guess it makes sense that I’m further back. At any rate, it’s common for me to board from the A31-60 side of the boarding posts!

A-60 (AL)

A coworker of mine that I travel with about a dozen times a year who is also A-List preferred consistently gets a few spots ahead of me, in fact I don't think I have ever been ahead of him. If I'm A18-19 he will be A16, If he's 18-19 I'll be low-mid 20's. We usually book at the same time so the fares are the same. The only difference is he flies a few more times per year than I do and he has CP from the credit card and I don't have the SW credit card.

A-29 is the worst I got this year when there is no last minute change involved. I got A-16 a handful of times usually with empty 5am flights on a Tuesday. A-list Preferred. On pace for A-list for next year. A-list preferred looks very unlikely at this point.
