Perhaps so. If it were me personally I would say 16 days after being vaccinated just to be sure or if its not 100 percent certain that Hawaii will accept it I'm getting the Hawaii approved Rapid PCR Test for $130 vs loosing thousands of dollars.

They only check test results at the gate. So, I assume they had checked bags, got to the gate, and were like “ooops”

They need to check test results and issue a wristband at the checkin counter like they do passports for international travel and then get a DOCSOK.

Not for us…we didnt check bags, but the first place they looked at COVID test results was the gate. Passport control only looked at our passports.
