My wife flew into MDW from MCO on Saturday. 70 minutes to get her bags. I would have expected MDW to fare a little better than that. I don't think I want to know what it's like at DAL right now.

I've never waited less than 45 minutes to get my bags at MDW.

Over social media seems WN handled the storms poorly. Don't know if any other airline did any better but many people are upset with WN right now and their response.

me too. I remember one FLL-MDW in January of 2015: It was -3. The rampers had to take frequent breaks due to the extreme cold so it took about 45 mins for everyone frozen bags to make it.

WARNING OT RANT MODE ENGAGED

Why does an article about the depth of snow have a picture of a thermometer measuring its temperature?

Would "social media" have drawn any other conclusion, even if the storms were handled "well" ?

To show that the snow is cold, proving that they didn't fake the shot with flaked soap. Also if your thermometer is long enough it can do double duty as a measuring rod. Joking of course. More seriously just attribute to scientific illiteracy. I used to teach undergraduate chemistry and you'd be amazed by the number of students who couldn't discern whether water was boiling or not.
