I still prefer the 80k points with the other (current?) offer to get CP through 12/31/22 rather easy with the lower CP requirement this year.

Then go for it, I have never paid for a WN flight so getting 20K CPQP would require me to spend $20,000 on that card to earn the 100K CPQP.

I would have no problem doing that but I'm guessing it might be an issue for some to spend that much quickly ( to get CP ASAP) and avoid interest.

Either way both options are now on the table, we have CP until 12/31/2021 so neither interest me.

I see the rule about not having another southwest card. Does that also affect me if I'm an authorized user on another card?

I highly doubt it, especially if they DIDN'T take your SSN when you got the authorized user card.

I will add a note here.

Authorized Users (AU) are usually not a good idea. Sometimes that card shows as a new card when they do credit checks. You get little or zero signup bonus. You just don't get anything great out of it.
