Quick RR Points for Companion Pass
I was about 1700 points short for my Companion Pass renewal and not able to fly to pick up the difference. My next credit card statement was going to hit in January so I thought I was out of luck. I decided to give the Points for Surveys a try even though they say it could take 6-8 weeks for the points to show up in the account. Much to my surprise, the points were there the next day. Over the next few days I attempted to do enough surveys to make up the difference. It worked for me so maybe this will help others in the same predicament. Time-consuming but well worth the effort IMO.

Did you check and make sure the points from surveys count towards CP ? From what I read they stopped counting in 2017 but for some reason some are still counting...........if this is true one can get CP via one Southwest 80k credit card which has $10K/9 month spend and do the rest via surveys.
Given that you averaged over 500 points a day doing surveys getting 35K points in 9 months shouldn't be nearly as difficult.
Rewards for Opinions-do they count toward Companion Pass?

That's odd, I received surveys right away and they just kept coming, I think they loaded 6 to start and each day I have received multiple email surveys
I also didn't have any long profile forms to fill out to sign up.
Did you sign up for the rewards for opinions ?

Agreed. I've been obsessively careful through all this - my father just completed cancer treatments - but I honestly think that if I were in that boat I'd be getting on a plane today and isolating from him for two weeks. Looking forward to being able to resume leisure travel as soon as possible is pretty important to my mental health, heh.
It depends on the particulars, of course - if you already have it until June from the extension, and your travel partner can easily earn it by then, I might weigh it differently.

Thx for Tips. I signed up for motley fool, which has a 2700 point signup. Not credited yet, but fine print led me to believe it will be retroactively credited to 2020. Hope so, although truth be told, my finances are so screwed from 2020, I don’t see traveling any time soon.
