I don't know what other routes you're referring to but for instance LAS to LAX and all the other metro area airports are under 250 miles and therefore wouldn't get service even if blocked for a time similar to LAS-SAN.
FLL-TPA at 197 miles was the one I was thinking of. Now I understand the difference, thank you.

Because it's a money maker for WN.

Booze is Back

Starting Feb. 16, Southwest will sell alcohol, including beer, wine, rum, tequila and vodka on flights at least 176 miles long. It is also said it will also add tonic water, apple juice, Coke Zero, Dr. Pepper, hot tea and hot cocoa to current lineup of non-alcoholic beverages.

When I logged into A-List+ WiFi the other day, I see there's a new CEO; when did Gary step down, and is booze part of the new CEO's direction?

The non-alcoholic extended list are just re-adding existing/previous correct? Nothing new or innovative happening there?

Yep, still a great deal. Seems that when I flew Delta last summer the wine was maybe $9?

Southwest
Beer $6 or $7 depending on brand
Wine $6
Liquor $7
