Southwest maybe considering an Airbus order

What do you think of it? Southwest is considering Airbus order A221 or A223.

Let the speculation begin!

Nothing to think about.

WN's strategy is clear on B737. Adding Airbus does no good to its business. Specifically, WN can't enjoy the deep discount that others get. And WN has to invest substantially. And Airbus will not sell its jets below cost (as that will mean AA getting a big refund).

Of course they will consider and look at other options. Just good business.

But actually buy some.... rather remote.

Just a little strategic messaging to keep Boeing on its toes.

Wasn't WN the lead in getting Boeing to expand development on the original 737's? I thought MAX was something WN insisted upon Boeing developing.
