This could put a crimp in same-day standby, which I used heavily before the lockdown.

Yeah, I'd thought about that, too. But my issue with the current gutted schedule is just finding an available flight- I had to go to PDX with a connection for the first time in three years, and when there were ~14 flights NoCal-SoCal you could pretty much go when your business was done.

Speaking of, LAS-PDX is about ~75% available seats this morning;

Given the severely reduced frequencies on most routes it seems like same day standby will likely be harder to make use of in general, even without the seat cap. (As someone who used to use this benefit a lot pre-covid too)

It might also be useful to know if folks are flying on a -700 or -800. I'm guessing the flights with 90+ passengers are on -800s?

-700s and -800s, but TBH I never remember to look at the seat-back card and only know for sure if it's an -800 by the new white seats.

Update: Every window/aisle was full on an 800. Californians escaping to Arizona, which has mostly reopened.

DL MCI-MSP 17 or so Thursday night. Can't wait until WN resumes the route but it may not be soon considering that load factor.
