Any idea what flight loads have recently been like?

Just curious. Any idea what flight loads have been like over the past few weeks? With flights cut back and consolidated, are there still flights that go out full? I'd guess they're pretty light, but I unfortunately need to travel from CLE - ATL in the next few days and unlike United / Delta / American who have seat maps where you can kind of gauge the load, I'm somewhat hesitant to book WN and end up on a fairly full flight. Any insight or trip reports out there?

Be careful, the Corona-Karens will be out in force to interrogate you and determine if it is truly essential that you fly.

Overall, with loads 10% or less, I can't imagine that CLE-ATL would be some exception route with an 80% load. But, as always, YMMV. I would pick which ever airline has a flight with the most desired timing since there are so few to choose from.

With TSA reporting 95% reduction in traffic on their end, you can guess how many are on the planes. Not many.

So air travel is down 99.5% ? Ponderous. 7 people per flight sounds about right.

... and it's all the laid-off ancillary staff that's the most troubling about all this- nearly every airport shop has been closed

Good point. If you are flying a long flight - you better bring food from home

Did ORD to EWR today, the flight was actually 70% ish load given that almost every row had only 2 empty seats on a 737.
EDIT just realized this was the south west forum. Thought it was the United forum

I had six people on a ONT-SJC last week. I would not hesitate flying right now on essential business with a N95 mask or tight fitting surgical mask if it is always this empty.

When the soft reopening of the economy occurs, I will be on I-5, not on a plane with a few dozen infected zombies.
