Anyone seeing a delay in RR points posting from Chase?
I have a CC with a statement that turns over on the 3rd of every month. Points have posted to my RR account on the 4th every month for the last two years. So far I haven't received the points I am owed. I asked Southwest and they said they haven't received them from Chase and gave me the 6-8 week bla bla excuse. Waiting on a response from Chase but I would bet the house and jewels they will say they sent them to Southwest on the 3rd and to ask them.
Awfully ironic I am having a delay in points posting when I am in the middle of a 25% points promotion and I have a sizeable amount of points that are being posted this month (over 25k points).
Was curious if anybody else that has a statement turning over the beginning of January seeing delays. TIA.

I unfortunately was not targeted for the 25% points promotion, but I'm in the same boat you are. My business and premier CCs both hit their bonuses early in the new year and my statements posted on Friday of last week, and I see on Chase that the bonuses were included on that statement, but no points yet on Southwest. Up until Sunday night, I was still seeing status pending on my SW account from the New Year, so I wonder if their whole system is just laggy. I did see someone on the churning reddit in the same situation and then eventually his/her points posted, so hopefully it'll only be another day or two. I opened both these cards in October, but the previous statements I had points that posted the day after the statement closed and that doesn't seem to be the case here (also horribly inconvenient for me as these bonuses will combine for 130k points and I'm waiting to book flights for February with the points and the Companion Pass).
Hope it works out for both of us. I keep checking the site every hour like a madman.

mollings Yeah that's lousy for you if you are waiting to book flights. Thankfully I had enough points banked to not have to worry (at least not right now).
I was shocked I was targeted for the points promotion as I easily have almost $400,000 in spend spread apart four credit cards per year. My RR account shows 0/125k points posted for CP which is accurate and my current CP from last year is listed there which is correct. My other account has the same info and also shows the A-List that account has so no issues there either. Just seems to be a points posting thing.
My next credit card is scheduled to post on the 10th for a different person so I'll be curious to see if that posts on time.

Since they are doing end of year processing, it is possible they are not processing those points from Chase yet?

Who actually said they are doing end of year processing? Has SW confirmed this? When I spoke to SW on Twitter they told me they haven't received the points from Chase yet. That was said after me asking the same question three times and getting a run around answer though, so maybe the rep just wanted to shut me up.

I just logged into my WN account - again. Copy and paste below.
Beginning January 1, 2020, we will be performing yearend processing for Rapid Rewards accounts. This function is necessary to update your membership status and reset your tier and Companion Pass earning counters for 2020.
During this process, you may be temporarily unable to view current tier or Companion Pass status, or may see incorrect earning counters regarding progress toward tier and Companion Pass.
This will affect all channels where you can log into your account, including:
You will see a pending alert within your account while this activity is in progress. We anticipate this process to be completed for all Members within the first few weeks of the year.
If you have earned A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass for the 2020 calendar year, your benefits will not be affected when traveling during this period.
Any points earned from flight or Rapid Rewards partner activity, including tier qualifying points* and Companion Pass qualifying points**, will continue to accrue but may not be viewable until the yearend processing is completed.
We appreciate your patience as we work hard to deliver the best Customer experience possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Where is this pending alert? I don't see any alerts in my account. Everything looks fine and accurate.
Their wording on the second item is vague. "may not be viewable" is different than "may not be usable". The PP wanted to book flights with these incoming points. There is a big difference between not being able to see how many points you have to book travel with and not having the points in the first place. Gotta love SW and their technical easter eggs.

Since some folks are still processing, that means the overall system is busy finishing up. I would GUESS that adding in the transfer files from CHASE have not been yet been processed and that is why they are not showing for ANYBODY.
This "processing thing" happens every year and apparently they have yet to find a better way to deal with it. Maybe they are using some old TRS-80 computers to do this?

Points posted from one of my CC bonuses this morning, so at least I can book flights, although I won't get the CP until the 2nd bonus posts. Both cards had the same closing date so this is a little odd, but hopefully it's just another day to wait.

Two cards closed on 1/4. Checked Southwest this morning.
No joy.
UPDATE: Points (including spending bonus) from 1 card (Business) has posted Southwest.
All of the points (including bonus) posted in the "Credit Card" category as one line item. There is no distinction between Credit Card spending and the Signup Bonus. This implies that the 25% bonus will apply to the Signup Bonus. We shall see....
