The map hasn't worked for quite some time now. You should still be able to see city pairs.

I believe the map function ran under flash, which may explain it's death.

This sucks, I used it a lot. I suppose there is no link to an old model that still works? AS map sucks now too, but is it still a little interactive, and better than WN's. WN's is little better than the map on their napkins.

I actually like the map on their napkins better than the recently defunct online map because I can mark up the cocktail napkin with a pen. I like drawing a set of axes over the map, circling the cities in the northeast quadrant, writing "..., Southwest?!" next to it with an arrow, and leaving it for the FA to see when clearing my tray.

To be clear: The Map View function of the Route Map is dead. As noted earlier, I believe it ran under old technology that's no longer supported, and Southwest hasn't replaced it with a new version yet. It's unclear if they will.

You can still use the List View to see what destination cities are available from any chosen departure city.

So much this. I had high hopes that we'd end up with similar functionality with the GDS agreements, but it sounds like I misunderstood that news - so I'm back to complaining about the loss of the getaway finder.

Oh, come on. Ding! was good for, like, 3 weeks before it became a self parody.

Absolutely not. I booked many flights for probably close to a year or more with Ding.

Ding quickly deteriorated to "Oh, look, I can get a deal on MKE-OMA if I fly on Tue/Wed before 6:30am." I imagine that kind of route works for some people for business or leisure. I checked Ding regularly but never found anything worth booking.
