$29 and $49 California fares Tues Wed through 12/18, purchase by 8/8

From https://www.southwest.com/html/offer...ct_190730.html
Book by 7/31. 21-day advance purchase required. Nonrefundable. Blackout dates apply. Seats, travel days, and markets limited. Fares valid on continental U.S., nonstop service where indicated; if not indicated, fares are valid on single connecting service. Continental U.S. travel valid 8/20/19 – 12/18/19.
Nonstop flights only, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There are some attractive but not crazy out of state fares. The lowest prices are intra-CA.

This is a rare Southwest-initiated sale, not a quiet match to a competitor's sale. Folks, you can build a segment run (less than 4 hours connecting time) from SJC to LAX and back for $52.36. Or SJC-BUR. Or OAK-LGB.I have never seen it that low. If you normally buy low fares, you can top off your A-list count for very little money.

This is as good as it gets.

Thanks for the heads up.

This sale is not advertised on southwest.com nor did I get an email about it.

I booked SAN-SJC-BUR-SJC-LGB-SJC-SAN to finish up the last 3 flights I need for Alist for the year for around $130. I was also able to refare 2 other intra-CA trips as well.

I've got tickets that cost more in fees and taxes than the actual transport! ($13.66 fare / $15.32 T/F).

The Change Reservation feature is not showing the sale fares. You have to cancel and re-book.

Incidentally, canceling and re-booking often (always?) changes the funds expiration to a day earlier. Southwest has been aware of this bug for weeks but it persists. I have not been inconvenienced other than having to change the dates in my spreadsheet rather than copying and pasting.

Ah, good so it's not just me then - I've been encountering the date expiration changes for about a month now!

This one-day flash sale (8/27) seems to be good for flights through Wednesday Feb 12, 2020 for the $29 SJC-BUR on WN while AS is canceling this route on Nov 4th. This $29 gravy train is ending shortly.

I just booked the Mother of all Segment Runs ... I'll post the details the day before if I can actually get away all day, but I just might must make CP again this year
