"Thanks for being YOU; and for flying US!" E-mail

I'm still not convinced this isn't SPAM, but I did do a segment run today (but didn't speak to anyone except the gate agents):

Thanks for being you and for flying us!

Dear Kenneth,
We just wanted to send a little note your way to say thanks for flying with Southwest and chatting with me today -
you mean the world to us and we really appreciate you!

See you next trip,
Southwest Airlines®
party
... anyone else ever get one (actually, I got two, within seconds of one another) of these?

"Party" ... lol

They called me to the podium once... making a connection somewhere (maybe LAS)... offered me a 1,000 miles as a "surprise and delight" gesture.

It was very odd, I said OK, and never actually got the 1,000 miles. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Too funny,I looked up the Whois record too ... you'd think WN would tie this to themselves at least.

"Surprise and delight" is WN's current "feel good" customer reward initiative. Generally, but not always, there's a benefit of value connected.

I suspect this is actually real. (Just poorly done.)

All but indistinguishable from competitors' Surprise-and-Delight initiatives.

I've received these twice. Once for 1,000 points, which posted within hours of the completion of my itinerary, and once the email provided free drinks. You merely showed the email to the FA. That email was valid for 4 weeks, so that resulted in close to 20 freebies!

Just noticing now on my rapid rewards account a "Surprise & Delight" 1,000 points posted to my account tied to my last trip I took on WN. Never heard of this perk until I saw it/searched these forums. Additionally, I was not called to the gate either before the flight as others have noticed.
