I'm already in Honolulu, and hope to see the inaugural flight make final approach over Waikiki. Anyone on that flight want to meet for drinks tonight or breakfast tomorrow?

Flight was booked to 1,725 passengers.
Todays flight and for the near future are payload restricted in order to land with legal fuel reserve. Per captain, 10 seats blocked and zero SWAcargo. After a week or so of experience, they may be able to adjust and bring "a few more" few passengers.
Enough standby pax to fill more than 10 737-800s

Just pushing back on today's inaugural HNL-OAK on N8329B
Despite the huge fleet constraints with the mechanics dispute and MAX grounding, Southwest brought in a spare plane N8326B last night. Reportedly it will remain in Hawaii "all this week" just so that the launch week goes without a mechanical cancellation snag. Expensive insurance.
For those in the other Southwest Hawaii thread that disputed that ETOPS pilots fly and map out their progress paper maps, here's proof.

Made it to the gate to see the flight off about an hour ago. Landing should be in a couple hours. Will post a few shots when I’m back in CONUS.
