Just landed at Pope Army Airfield (Fort Bragg) South Carolina.

I don’t think they ferry for the DOD. Buddy on base saw it land and said it was highly unusual.

Would be interesting to hear what happened here.

And, by the way, that base is in North Carolina, south of Raleigh.

First flight is from Dallas.
Flight out is headed to BIGGS AAF (FORT BLISS) AIRPORT (FORT BLISS/EL PASO/, TX) according to Flightaware.

They absolutely charter for US Government and we occasionally see flights in/out of Northern California bases. I wouldn't be surprised that WN is more cost effective.

A friend of mine flew one of the military charter trips and said he looked out of the cockpit and every single passenger walking to his plane was carrying a M16. They made an announcement to "please place your guns in the overhead bins."
