They don't want you to remember, so they aren't going to help you remember. You've got to track it yourself. You need to find your confirmation number for the cancelled flight, with that you can find out the $ amount.

This is once area that SW is highly slimy IMO. Unless you track and keep your confirmation # and amount, there is no way to see what travel funds you have. Serval other airlines have the travel bank as part of your online account, but not SW...they make it so that it is 100% on you to figure out and they make it intentionally difficult to figure out should you loose any of that information.

I love SW but this one thing for me makes them seem super deceptive in their procedures. They WANT you to forget. The fact that there is no tie in to your RR# is absurd.

OK (you said you cancelled it in your first post), what was that confirmation number? It's in your MY TRIPS } PAST history

Plug that and your name into this: https://www.southwest.com/flight/tra...ds-search.html

And then when you go to book a flight you plug the confirm# into the payment section, after clicking on the TRAVEL FUNDS tab

#1 Step - do not delete flight purchase emails. Ever.

Turns out the original poster had this, and only wanted to know WHERE to find the balance, which another poster eventually shared.

Is there a way to use the credit to pay for early bird check in?

They do make it hard to track the credits but the other airlines charge you about $150 per credit (change fees) for the privilege of using your credits so I'd take WN's approach any day of the week.

Totally agree. 100%.

I keep all my cancel in a note on my computer. You can also just keep all your flight notices and then search on them. EVERY travel email goes into a folder so I can find it.

I don't want them to make it easy. I take great care to keep up with my TTF.

If it were easy, the profit from breakage on canceled flights would substantially decrease and 'free' changes would most likely go away.

Everyone take note, literally. Take notes regarding your canceled flights. It's not that hard.
