$29 to $39 intra-California fares T W Sat, Alaska sale match
Ends tomorrow, January 23. This is almost low enough for a segment run. If only SFO were not so prone to long delays and cancellations.

Alaska has a $39 sale LAX-SJC which Southwest has matched for Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday late August to early November. Alaska's sale ends Thursday night.

I feel I have been traveling in a golden age the last 20 years. When it started I could fly 4 cheap round trips and earn an unrestricted transcon round trip. Today Southwest matches Alaska's Basic Economy fares but with free bags and no fee to cancel. Markets tend to kill such discrepant value. If only it could last forever.

$39 fares are back for today only, again matching Alaska. The sale allows travel through November 20.

Southwest has matched. Book your segment runs today. Post-February 5 bookings may qualify for time and date improvements if Southwest gives us one more round of free moves. (March 7 is the currently planned return to service for MAX8's.)
Purchase by 11:59 pm (PT) on November 13, 2019, and at least 21 days prior to departure. Travel from Los Angeles (LAX) to San Francisco (SFO) is valid Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from January 07, 2020 - March 07, 2020. Blackout dates are from February 12, 2020 to February 23, 2020.

Alaska has a one-day Black Friday sale. San Jose to LAX is $29!
As of now, Southwest fares are $39 in that market. Watch for a price match and book your $52.36 quick round trip segment runs.

Looks like Southwest is matching Alaska's 3 day sale, including $29 (Tu/We/Sat) and $39 fares between SJC and LAX. Travel Jan 28 thru March 11th.

If you book your segment run as two one-ways due to too-short connecting time you can fly LAX to SJC and back starting at dark o'clock in 3 hours and 10 minutes. Those early flights midweek have very light passenger loads.
